The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has announced that President Bola Tinubu has approved upgrading Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) to a university.
He shared this news during a visit to the institution, where he inspected and commissioned various projects.
Alausa praised the school’s management for maintaining its facilities well, despite their age.He also emphasized that the government’s push for technical and vocational education, combined with entrepreneurship training, aims to reduce the trend of young Nigerians leaving the country in search of better opportunities abroad.
