The Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has appointed Prof Adamu Ahmed as the institution’s new Vice-Chancellor. Prof Ahmed, a distinguished academic, currently serves in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.
He previously held the position of Director at the university’s Directorate of University Advancement and is presently the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at the Federal University of Education, Kano.
The announcement was made at 6:15 AM today, Wednesday, 5th February 2025, during the 209th (Special) Council Meeting chaired by Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR.
