Hajiya Nafisa Barau Suleiman has been appointed as the Acting Registrar of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) following the approval of Rt. Hon. Engr. Aminu Sani Isa, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.
She succeeds Malam Yakubu Anivbassa, whose tenure as the second substantive Registrar concluded on Tuesday, 4th February 2025. According to the appointment letter, Suleiman is to immediately assume responsibility for the Registry Department from the outgoing Registrar.
Prior to this appointment, she served as Deputy Registrar in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, overseeing administrative functions. Between 2018 and 2021, she also held the position of Faculty Officer for the Faculty of Humanities and Education before it was later divided into two separate faculties. Furthermore, she currently represents the University Convocation on the Governing Council.
