In an official communication released by the Director of Academic Planning, Professor A. D. Bajoga, the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation to five academic programmes following rigorous evaluation exercises conducted in October and November 2024. The accredited programmes include: Business Administration, Faculty of Arts and Social Science; Education English and Education History, Faculty of Education; Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Biology and Geology, Faculty of Science. The accreditation process assessed various components such as curriculum content, staffing, facilities, and overall academic quality. GSU successfully met the stringent standards set by the NUC, a testament to the University’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence. Ag. Vice Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, expressed deep appreciation to the staff of the accredited departments, students, and members of the public, whose dedication and support contributed significantly to the successful outcome

This is yet another milestone that underscores our steady progress towards maintaining national and international standards in education,” Professor Yauta stated. By this result, all the 63 undergraduate programs of Gombe State University have full accreditation status
