The UTME mock exam is a practice test JAMB organizes every year for students preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

It’s completely optional—your score won’t count, and you don’t need it to sit for the main exam. The goal is to help candidates test their level of preparation and get comfortable with the computer-based test (CBT) system, especially for those who aren’t used to computers.

For 2025, the mock exam will take place on Saturday, April 5. Only students who selected the mock option during UTME registration can take part. Apart from helping candidates prepare, JAMB also uses the mock exam to check that all exam centers are running smoothly before the main UTME.

As of now, printing of the UTME mock exam slip hasn’t started, so if you’re eligible, stay tuned for updates on your exam venue and time.
