Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, will honour Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Sale Al-Hussain during its 44th Convocation Ceremony.
The event will take place on Saturday, 25 January 2025.
University Senate and Governing Council Approval
The decision to confer the honorary degrees was made at the 544th Senate meeting on 7 January 2025.
The Governing Council approved the recommendation at its 207th meeting on 8 January 2025.
Both recipients have accepted the honour.
Degrees to Be Conferred
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will receive a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa.
Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Sale will receive a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) Honoris Causa.
