If you made any mistakes while registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), there’s good news! The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially opened its Correction of Data Portal, allowing candidates to rectify errors in their registration details. This ensures that your personal and academic information is accurate before the exam and admission process begins.
What Can Be Corrected on JAMB’s Portal?
JAMB has specified the following data fields that candidates can modify:
✅ Correction of Name – Fix spelling errors or incorrect name arrangement.
✅ Change of Date of Birth – Adjust any mistakes in your birth date.
✅ Correction of Gender – Modify gender information if wrongly selected.
✅ Change of State or Local Government Area (LGA) – Update state or LGA details.
✅ Change of Institution and Course – Switch to a different school or course.
How to Apply for JAMB Data Correction

1️⃣ Visit a JAMB-Accredited CBT Centre
JAMB if any close nearby requires all corrections to be done in person at a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.

Corrections are not free and require a non-refundable payment through JAMB’s official channels.
4️⃣ Provide Supporting Documents

JAMB has not yet announced a final deadline for data corrections, but candidates are strongly advised to complete their changes as early as possible to prevent last-minute issues that could affect their UTME or admission process.
