The Senate of Abia State University, during its 278th regular meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, approved the start of the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, March 3, 2025. Fresh students are expected to arrive on this date, while returning students will resume on Saturday, March 8, 2025. First-semester lectures will begin on Monday, March 10, 2025.
lAlso the Senate has approved the relocation of the Faculties of Law and Agriculture from Umuahia to the main campus in Uturu. This move will take effect at the end of the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.
Only registered students who have paid their fees will be allowed access to university facilities.
