Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina has announced a one-week mid-semester break starting February 24 after students protested the alleged killing of a fellow student by the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF).

The protest began on Sunday, with students accusing the JTF of shooting their colleague over suspicions of being an informant. It continued into Monday morning, causing tension on campus.

Students have been asked to leave the campus by 6:00 PM on February 24.
