
The Management of Ahmadu Bello University has released a circular informing all fresh students and the entire university community at large about the schedule of the matriculation ceremony

This is to inform all fresh Undergraduate students for 2024/2025 academic session and the entire University community that the Matriculation ceremony to mark the students formal admission into the University will take place as follows:
- Date: Tuesday, 25 February 2025
- Time: 10.00am
- Venue: Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, Samaru.
It is mandatory for all fresh Undergraduate students to be robed in academic gowns and attend the event during which the Matriculation Oath will be administered on them. The students are to report to their Faculty Officers to obtain the academic gowns and Matriculation Oath Forms after the payment of Two Thousand Naira only (N2,000.00) either through the previously announced mode or through Remita Platform as outlined below.
PROCEDURES FOR MAKING PAYMENT FOR HIRING OF ACADEMIC GOWN TO THE UNIVERSITY’S ACCOUNT VIA REMITA
- STEP 1: Go to any web browser and type: www.remita.net
- STEP 2. Click on Pay TSA & States from the list of billers
- STEP3: Click on FGN: Federal Government of Nigeria
- STEP4: Who do you want to pay: Type Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-1000110
- STEP5: Name of Service/Purpose: Select COGCC from the drop down list.
- STEP6. Description: Type description of service(s); Type Payment for Academic Gown Hiring (Go to next step if step 6 is not available.
- STEP7: GIFMIS Code: Ignore and go to next step because it’s not a mandatory field (Go to next step if step 7 is not available).
- STEP8: Amount to pay: Type 2,000
- STEP9: Select the Currency: Ignore, already set on Naira by default
- STEP 10: Payer’s Name: Type your full name;
- STEP 11: Payer’s Phone: Type your phone number;
- STEP 12: Payer’s email: Type your email address (Remita Receipt and Invoice are sent via email)
- STEP 13: Click in the box, I am not a robot and follow necessary instructions where required;
- STEP 14: Click on Submit and follow next instructions;
- STEP 15: Click on Select Card and choose the desired mode of payment i.e Card, Bank Transfer, USSD, Bank Account, Bank Branch, Internet Banking, etc;
- STEP 16: Present the Remita receipt for verification and issuance of official receipt of the University by the Cash Office.
