The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 10 new academic programmes at Wesley University, Ondo State, for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The approval was conveyed in a letter sent from the NUC secretariat on 27th January.

A panel of experts carried out a resource verification to assess the university’s academic and material capacity before granting approval.
The newly approved courses will run at the university’s main campus.

The following programmes have been added:

B.Sc. Entrepreneurship
B.Sc. Office Management Technology
B.Sc. Surveying
O.D. Optometry
B.Sc. Public Health
B.Rad. Radiography

Postgraduate programmes have also been introduced in the following fields:

Urban and Regional Planning (PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD)
Estate Management (PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD)
Economics (PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD)
Community Health (PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD)
University’s Response
The Vice-Chancellor, Sunday Obeka, described the approval as an expansion of academic opportunities for students across various fields.

The university aims to strengthen its academic programmes and attract students pursuing professional and research-based degrees.
