The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) at Taraba State University has called off its indefinite strike, which began on December 9, 2024. The decision followed a successful tripartite meeting with the Ministry of Tertiary Education and the University Management on January 25, 2025.
In a statement signed by Chairperson Comrade Bitrus Joseph Ajibauka and Secretary Comrade Mamki Joshua Atein, the union directed all members to resume work immediately. They thanked Governor Agbu Kefas, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, and the University Management for addressing their demands and pledged to support continued dialogue for industrial harmony.
