LASU debunks strike rumors, direct students to resume academic activities

The University management wishes to inform the University Community, parents and the general public that Lagos State University (LASU) has fully resumed operations for the year 2025 as of 6th January 2025, following the Christmas and New year break.
Management also announced that, with the resumption of all activities, all Staff Union have resumed their duties except for Non-academic staff Union (NASU) LASU chapter, NASU after a meeting of the management with the Joint Action Committee of the university Staff Union (ASSU, SSANU, NASU AND NAAT) on Monday, has declared a strike action. The action will persist until the ongoing issue of non payment of the 50% counter part fund for the differentials of the 25%/30% salary increment is addressed by Friday 10th January 2025.
In light of this, all students are expected to Campus and continue their Lectures as outlined in the academic calendar.
