The Department of Post Basic Nursing Programmes at Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi, is pleased to announce the commencement of the sale of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session. This follows the approval of three (3) Post Basic Nursing specialty programmes by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Applications are now open for the following programmes:
MENTAL AND PSYCHIATRIC NURSING – 18 MONTHS
2. NEPHROLOGY NURSING – 12 MONTHS
3. OPHTHALMIC NURSING – 12 MONTHS
Requirements
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) certificate along with a current practicing license.
- Five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, obtained from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in no more than two (2) sittings. A combination of WAEC and NECO results is acceptable.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year post-qualification experience.
- Must obtain approval for release from their employer to meet the full-time attendance requirement of the program.
